Tom Struyf (°1983) is a theater maker, writer, and landscape designer*. In his theater pieces he takes the audience along with him on a personal quest. Recurring themes explored within his pieces are the blending of fact and fiction in the world around us, our relation to both past and future, and the influence of societal changes on the personal lives of individuals and communities. Tom’s theater pieces combine storytelling and the use of mixed media. They often balance between theater, documentary, and lecture performances, and flirt with other genres such as detective fiction, coming of age, or the roadmovie genre.

Tom graduated as an actor at the Toneelacademie Maastricht (NL) and as a landscape designer at Van Hall Larenstein in Velp (NL). In the past few years, Tom created and performed the theater pieces The Tatiana Aarons Experience (2010), Act to Forget (2012), Another great year for fishing (2014) and Animal (2020). Together with theater company BERLIN he also created Remember the dragons… (2017).
